On two Saturdays and a Sunday, this festive journey through Thirsk’s history explores Christmas in poorhouses, alleys, and markets, crimes of the 16th century, and why carol singers were expelled from churches. Discover the Hermit’s dwelling, Nelson’s surgical link, a mysterious 7ft skeleton, and the canal that never was - revealing secrets beneath Thirsk’s past.
